Lakshmiji, the goddess of wealth, is worshipped the world over on this day to receive blessings for future prosperity. Celebrations include decorating homes with lights, fireworks, and the distributing of sweets and gifts.

Make Jamie Oliver's Indian-style steak with accompaniments and mango dessert in just 30 minutes! Click here for the recipe and video. Note: This recipe calls for Patak's Jalfrezi paste.
