  • 2 tsps cumin seeds
  • 2 tsps garlic
  • 2 tsps ginger
  • 1 green chilli
  • 2 red onions, chopped
  • 3 tbsps Balti Curry Paste
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 pepper (½ red, ½ green)
  • 6 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Cauliflower flowerettes
  • ½ lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt


  1. Put cumin seeds into a pan with some oil and let them sizzle.
  2. Add garlic, ginger and chilli slices. Stir.
  3. Add onions and stir.
  4. Once the onions have browned and broken down, add Balti Curry Paste. Sprinkle with water and stir.
  5. Stir in chopped tomato and chunks of red and green pepper.
  6. Throw in cherry tomato halves. Put in cauliflower flowerettes.
  7. Add ½ lemon juice and pinch of salt. Stir and serve.


This recipe calls for Patak's Balti Curry paste. You can substitute any Patak's curry paste in its place.
